Watch
Jake and Mick are back to go in-depth about this year's course and the minor tweaks we made this year. We go over everything you will need to know about elevation, mileage, and terrain from aid station to aid station. We suggest you screenshot the tips so you can have them on your phone and you'll know what to expect leading up to the race! We tried our best to give you the info you want in a video that no other race has put out or can match.
Race day 2024 was amazing for both the 50 mile runners and the 55K runners. Thank you all for making it the best race day we could have imagined!
The finish line is the place to be at an ultra marathon. Ours is one of the best in the biz. It's a vibe and you need to experience it for yourself.

From the race directors
The same slightly unhinged minds that bring you DC Peaks also host The Next Aid Station — an unfiltered, laugh-out-loud ultra running podcast. Race directors Jake and Mick bring hot takes, questionable wisdom, and brutally honest opinions on all things trail and ultra, tackling everything from race controversies to gear debates to the strange things that happen after 50 miles. The Next Aid Station mentality is simple: don’t get overwhelmed by the finish line—whether it’s a brutal 100-miler or something life throws at you (like Jake’s prison sentence). Instead, focus on reaching the next milestone, one aid station at a time, and watch big goals get crushed in smaller, bite-sized pieces.

Why we do this
DC Peaks exists to throw down an ultra marathon that’s as gritty as it is gorgeous. We’re here for the big climbs, the epic descents, and the kind of views that make the pain worth it. This isn’t just a race — it’s an adventure designed by ultra runners who know suffering can be fun when you’re in good company. Our mission is to deliver a course that tests your limits, a community that keeps you moving, and a finish line you’ll never forget.
